Thank you for taking your time to look at our website, let's introduce ourselves to you...

Vici Boyd & Garry Suter live togther in Worthing, West Sussex.

Vici started her hair and beauty career as an apprentice in 1994,  gaining City and Guilds Certificate in Hairdressing in 1997.

In 2005 Vici decided to add Holistic and Beauty therapies to her bow and later trained as a Nail Technician.

She has worked in and managed various salons before establishing Vitality mobile services in October 2015.

Garry has always held a keen interest in hairdressing and would cut his sons hair himself as they were growing up, after meeting Vici he was always asking questions about her work and she suggested he did a training course.

Garry passed City and Guild's level 2 diploma in Barbering  in 2021 with distinctions and now looking at extending his knowledge with more courses.

So here we are as Shear Magic Hair Design.

"I love my work and get a real sense of pride when I've made someone look good and feel good about themselves, Vici "

My Career Path

On Leaving School at 16, I engaged in an apprenticeship at a local salon attending 'Crowns Hair Academy' (now known as Look Fantastic) once a week, qualifying with a NVQ in Hairdressing in 1995.

Gained an Ear piercing certificate in 1994

Trained in Theatrical Make-up, receiving a BTEC certificate in 1997.

At the grand old age of 24, when my daughter was a year old I decided to have a change in career , choosing to wander down the road of Holistic Therapy, I joined a full time course at Chichester Collage and graduated

with distinction in 2002.

I then opened my first business, renting a therapy room in Durrington, I also caught a learning bug...

Wanting to grow the range of treatments and offer my clients more services, I decided to go back to Chichester Collage and do some evening courses.

These where waxing, Beauty Consultancy and Manicure and Pedicure, finishing these courses by 2003 I carried on learning and learning and learning...

Adding body wraps, hot stone massage, Reiki and other new techniques to my ever growing treatment menu.

By 2006 I'd built up a very good client base and decided to buy my own shop, Absolute Vitality Beauty and Hair was born but after 6 years of trading, unfortunately the financial climate changed, profits fell and utility prices increased so I had no option but to close the salon.

Feeling rather deflated ,I worked in a Pub for a while but I missed the artistry of hairdressing and found employment at a salon in town, but after being self-employed for so long it was difficult to play at being 'staff'.

Then with great anticipation and nervousness  I ventured out on my own again..

Vitality Hair and Beauty Mobile Services came to life in October 2014.
